I was travelling and needed physio outside my usual town. This has out dated passive physio practices. Don't really pay attention to the treatment I reported worked before. Left the room before she commenced treatment. 30 minute initial consult.Very mild benefit for something that I believe could have had much greater relief with correct treatment (I am a physio) If you have had previous physio, know what works and want that done.. You may not get that here.
Friendly. Professional
I have been seeing Karl and his colleagues for six months originally for an ongoing neck injury and then rehab for major foot surgery. My neck has benefitted from both needling and cupping and now I have no pain ( no easy achievement). I am a return patient, so I am extremely pleased with the treatment that I am receiving. Thanks guys.
After a serious car crash in 1995, I have required physiotherapy services on and off, since arriving in Tasmania. I had a significant whip lash injury that resulted in a crushed C5 fracture and since I am now getting older, it is made worse by the degeneration extending right down my spine. This is the only physiotherapy service that I have attended since being in Tasmania. My most recent practitioner has been Ayana Gamboa, though I have also been well treated by Karl Thomas. I would highly recommend, and I do, frequently, both physiotherapists. But I have to specially mention that I have been ultra impressed with Ayana's quiet professionalism and her ability to go straight to the right sore spots, just by listening and correctly diagnosing my symptoms. Believe me, this does not always happen and you can tell when you have a gifted professional working with you when this happens. I am sure that she has a very loyal and devoted group of clients, as I cannot believe how quickly she has been able to treat and relieve the considerable entrenched spasms, burning pain and tightness while working on my Cervical and Thoracic spine.I am highly recommending this practice and Ayana to any other people requiring physiotherapy services and relief from their pain. As a previous Health Care Professional and Manager for many years, it takes exceptional service for me to place such high recommendations as I do not undertake this lightly.Elizabeth Spencer St Helens
Hi, i just had a dry needling treatment with Karl Thomas and I must say this is the WORST physio experience i've ever seen. First, the consultation was done by someone else (very friendly guy, thumbs up for him. Must be hard to have Karl as a boss.) I find it a bit weird to do the consultation by another physio. But okay... so far so good. But worst of all, Karl didn't pay any attention to what I was saying. He was only bossing the friendly guy around. Do this, do that... Thirdly after karl had put the needles in he came in without notice, pulled the needles out without a word and without warning me while i had my eyes closed. Immediately he walked away... disseapered. The friendly colleage who was treating someone else did ask how it was. But karl was long gone. Some lessons in communication skills for karl would be good. Good luck working with karl as a colleague! And new patients... please find another fysio.
