Very nice modern, yet period looking hotel. Only gripe - no airconditioning but the large ceiling fan definitely does the trick on warmer nights. Nicely renovated bathroom and great entertainment available. Breakfast was amazing!
Set back from the main street of Launceston, opposite a park, the stunning Victorian building now known as The Florance sits quietly in her garden pressed into the hillside. Hosts Kate & Toby have been wonderful and have offered some great local knowledge when it came to activities and places to eat. We had a wonderful stay in a very beautiful room. The contemporary decor is tastefully blended with the heritage style of the building. The bed's are like clouds and the bathrooms, bright and modern. My favourite room would have to be the Conservatory, a place for people to congregate, relax and enjoy breakfast. Thank you for having us, Hannah & Adam from Newcastle.
Lovely little boutique bednbreakfast set right in the thick of things in Launceston. Easy walk to Harvest Markets, the central business district, City Park & the Design Centre.While the room is on the small side, the bathroom was literally the cleanest one I have ever seen. Room nicely appointed, enhanced by a shared living space with lounges & a long communal table where breakfast is served. Seeing actual art on the walls was a particular delight, with the owner, Kate, also happy to discuss local art, and where to find it.Renovation to this historic Victorian era house has been sensitive and leaves the front face untouched, while bringing in light and the exterior world into the rear. Flowers are everywhere! Very pleased, would stay here again, hosts lovely and keen to make your stay in town rich & exciting.
lovely hotel which tranformed from old building, not many chances you can talk to a hotel owner in other places face to face. Very special place. Lots of eating choices around and close to attractions.
Absolutely beautiful accomodation in an excellent location. The rooms are immaculate and everything is sparkling clean. Continental breakfast was included in the room price, and we were really impressed with the offering. I love that it is in a heritage building the renovation has retained the character however it is very modern and clean inside!
